Born decades ago in a charity hospital for the indigent on the lower east side of New York City. Adopted. In 2018, 23andme revealed my birth mother, three half-sisters and their extended familes. Lived a good life in Brooklyn, Seaford, Tenafly, Jacksonville, Manhattan, Weehawken, Jax Beach, Austin, and Wyandotte. Been a thousand other places and back.
When I was 17 years alive during the summer after graduating high school, I hitchhiked around the USA with a high school buddy, Jesse. We first stuck our thumbs out in Hackensack, New Jersey, enroute to San Francisco, Los Angeles, and points south. We split in Albuquerque. I laid back. He went on. Eventually I traveled back to New York City on a deadheading Greyhound bus whose driver stopped on Route 80 to pick me up in Youngstown, Ohio. Against the rules but he wanted company. I was his only passenger. I spent the previous night in a kind family’s guest room. And so, my sense of traveling with a purpose while enjoying the company of people I just met began. Want to go there again and more. Lovin’ life. Lovin’ love. Lovin’ you!
